Tomorrow afternoon, three projects will be presented with awards during the CEIN Start-up Day held in Baluarte Noáin, 21st December 2022. This morning, the minister for Economic and Business Development, Mikel Irujo, closed the tenth Entrepreneur Boost programme, in which six different business initiatives participated. This specialised acceleration programme, promoted by the Government of Navarra via the public European Centre for Companies and Innovation in Navarra (CEIN), strives to support entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas with potential for growth, who want to start and develop a new company within our region. Ninety business projects were submitted for this tenth version of the programme, of which six initiatives were selected. During the assessment and analysis performed by CEIN and the consultancy company Suma Importancia, the initiatives were prioritised with regard to time to market, development level of the commercial strategy, its technical capacities and whether they had at least one marketable product or service, evaluating the start-up’s potential for growth. The Entrepreneur Boost programme is the driving force to accelerate businesses which are developing their projects within the different CEIN programmes and want to consolidate their commercial and market position to establish themselves as a leading start-up in Navarra. This year, the programme is supported by the bank Caja Rural de Navarra, Cinfa, Corporación Mondragón, Salinas de Navarra, Viscofan and Zabala Innovation Consulting, who are serving as mentors to support the participating companies through their expertise, experience and business vision. These mentor companies are also contributing financially, providing three prizes of €25,000, €15,000 and €8000 to support participating entrepreneurs that demonstrate clear progress during the specific acceleration programme designed to achieve this goal. Over the past seven months, CEIN has provided the selected entrepreneurs with a specialised, individualised training programme on the creation and execution of a business plan covering sales, communication, the competitive development of the founding team and the definition of a finance model that will allow them to launch their business. The public company Sodena is also proposing specific finance models for the Entrepreneur Boost projects, through which it will invest in up to three projects. The six companies selected have shared their projects, progress within the programme, experience and visions for the future with the attendees. This falls within the scope of the Entrepreneurship Plan, a plan to support entrepreneurship within the framework of the public–private collaboration system. Management of these activities will be funded by the Next Generation EU Recovery Funds and by the Government of Navarra, while the economic support for the entrepreneurs themselves comes entirely from their public or private sponsors. The six participating projects are as follows: BLOCKBIT CAPITAL S.L. The first FinTech company in Navarra to focus on professional investment, evaluation and training on cryptocurrencies. Promoted by: Iván Recio, Alberto Yaben, Andoni Porres and Víctor Maeztu Vidan. GUTEN TECH The automation of business processes using no-code tools, which allows them to be implemented quickly and cheaply into big companies’ processes. Promoted by: Asier Goñi and Jon Otazu.
