Bee Planet has won the 2022 Wallenius Wilhelmsen #OrcelleAward, with a cash prize of $100,000.
On Tuesday 25th October in Fort Lauderale, Florida, the Ocean Exchange event concluded with the BeePlanet project being awarded the Orcelle prize, sponsored by the company Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Its nomination was selected from among 170 competitors following a presentation in front of over 100 voting delegates.Roger Strevens, Vice President of Sustainability for the Group, awarded the prize to our CEO, Jon Asin.
“This prize is a huge honour for the whole team, and tremendous motivation to continue in our efforts to promote a sustainable energy model,” says Jon Asin.
BeePlanet presented its energy storage solution, which uses second-hand batteries from vehicles to produce rapid-charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and industrial and commercial self-supply.
